Business Expo Visitors Win Minster Micro Halloween Treats

It was all things Halloween as delighted ladies from the MFG solicitors’ team drew three of the many winning tickets in Minster Micro’s Halloween competition at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce business expo at Malvern’s Three Counties Showground on Thursday 8th October.

Exhibiting with a host of other local businesses from across the two-counties, visitors to Minster Micro’s stand lined up to take turns and see if they had won a sour-tricky treat or a winning ticket for a bewitching Halloween beer, and get their hands on one of their distinctive, orange must-have Minster bags.



Minster’s Head of Marketing, Maria Burdett said: “We decided to run a competition and launch our new eco-friendly cotton bags at the show. Our bright orange bags went down a storm, especially with the recent carrier bag charges brought in this month. We spoke with lots of different businesses across many sectors and industries, so it really helped to break the ice by running our fun Halloween competition giveaway.”

Made In The Midlands 2015 Exhibition

As you may be aware, exhibition season is well underway and Minster have been taking the opportunity to attend and exhibit at as many as possible in order to meet local, well-established companies.Minster Team At Exhibition

In less than a week (Thursday 14th May 2015) we will be exhibiting at the Made in the Midlands exhibition where we are a Gold Partner. Whilst you have to be a member of Made in the Midlands to exhibit, other companies can register to attend the event.

The 2015 exhibition is set to be MIMs (Made In The Midlands) biggest and best yet with a brand new location hosting over 150 of our members exhibiting and an expected 1,000 visitors.

The Made in the Midlands Exhibition is a full day event which brings together the very best of Midlands manufacturing & engineering services from across a wide variety of sectors, including Aerospace, Automotive, Rail, Marine, Medical and Oil & Gas.

MIMs annual exhibition provides the ideal platform for networking with a view to doing more business and meeting like-minded companies from across the Midlands region.

The day will also include a series of seminars hosted by our partners on a host of topics which affect Midlands manufacturers.

Again, we are very excited to be exhibiting at this event and would love to see you there!

Proud To Be A Made In The Midlands Member

untitledMinster are very happy to announce that we are now a member of Made In The Midlands.

As part of our on-going growth, we have taken the decision to join MIM as we feel we are ready to enhance our networking arena and engage with other manufacturing companies within our locale.

We have many customers in the manufacturing industry and feel that we have plenty of knowledge and a wealth of experience in servicing this sector. However, we are always ready to learn more and meet new manufacturers on our doorstep.

We have been keen to be part of Made in the Midlands for a while but as we are not a manufacturing company, we had to go through a process which meant that they had to decide whether we are a suitable and worthy company. After a few meetings we were offered membership and are excited to be joining and taking advantage of this opportunity.

We will be hosting the first Breakfast Meeting of 2015 at our offices and are looking forward to both attending and hosting others. We are also ready to exhibit at the Made in the Midlands Annual Expo in May and will be looking forward to meeting other members and patrons.

Auto-Enrolment Event Held At Minster Offices

Success: As Auto-Enrolment is fast approaching for many SMEs, the need for information and guidance has become more and more desired.

This is why we decided to join forces with experts in the finance and pensions field and hold an event to provide the knowledge and know-how to set our clients on the right path. After inviting customers to this free event, we had a fantastic turn out. EVERYONE left with a good sense of direction and the right information to get them started. Throughout the presentation, it became clear that Auto-Enrolment isn’t something that JUST happens. It won’t work with a click of a button. It is a process in which companies are advised to plan for well in advance- up to 12 months in advance! They realised that should be preparing for Auto-Enrolment as soon as possible.

It became apparent that a lot of the attendees were not at a stage that they should have been at and the presentation really gave them an understanding about what they needed to do. One of the important messages everyone took away was that companies cannot avoid Auto-Enrolment. No one is exempt from the penalties of up to £10,000 a day, but the good news is there are people who can aid them through the process.

For all of our Pegasus customers, we will have a role to play in assisting with this big change and that’s why we came together with Chris Poole and Joanna Toon. Save the date: Wednesday 25th September at 10:00am for Auto-Enrolment for Pensions workshop

pensions-save-the-dateFrom 1 October 2012, changes to the pensions law (the Workplace Pensions Reform) have started to affect employers.

Employers will have to enrol their employees into a pension scheme and pay into that scheme. We will be holding further workshops throughout the year, dates to be confirmed.

Real Time Information (RTI) Seminar

HMRC- RTIRTI is being introduced to improve the operation of PAYE, making it easier for you, the employer, to operate PAYE. Employees will receive the information more quickly and it will help support the introduction of Universal Credits. It will include legislative updates and important information about how you can get the most out of your Pegasus system to prepare for the big changes that will affect your business.

Opera 3 Event – Get Started!

As you may be aware, the end is in sight for Opera II with Pegasus advising that they intend to make an ‘end of life’ announcement within the next 24 months.

With this in mind, Minster have organised an Opera 3 event to go through details of how you can save money by upgrading early as well as the benefits your business will gain.

As well as Opera II customers looking to upgrade, this event is also suitable for those who are looking for an overview on Opera 3 as well as those who currently use it and would like to hear about future developments.

This complimentary event will include a run through of the added features of Opera 3 from both the Minster Team and Pegasus’s Product Specialists Steve Power and Sue Flavell.

H&W Chamber of Commerce Spring Business Exhibition

After the success from the last Chamber expo we went to, we have decided to exhibit there again at the Spring Business Exhibition.

Held at the spacious Three Counties Showground, there is an expected number of 800 visitors attending (and counting!). We feel this is a great opportunity to meet new people, introduce ourselves to local companies across the region as well as showcase our expanding portfolio of offerings, including SAP Business One, Pegasus Opera 3 and our VOIP telephony product from 3CX. Also, due to the time of the year, we are also going to be offering out advice and solutions for your payroll.
